Responsibilities

As part of the Head Office Finance Team, to ensure that sound Financial Accounting disciplines are implemented and maintained, ledgers & books of account are accurate, cash is properly recorded and controlled and payroll disciplines are strictly maintained. Position is key in driving period end reporting to high quality and deadlines.

  • Manage general accounts office personnel to provide a professional and efficient service underpinning validity of ledgers, records, cash & banks and general internal control environment
  • Lead monthly and annual closing processes to consistently achieve departmental deadlines. Ensure reliable, accurate and timely closings
  • Manage Accounts Payable to ensure efficient processes and prompt settlement of vendor accounts
  • Manage Accounts Receivable to ensure efficient processes and good link with Credit Control
  • Manage Cash Books, daily bank reconciliation process and petty cash
  • Ensure internal control environment is strong and well documented
  • Ensure full balance sheet reconciliation on a monthly basis as part of closing routines
  • Monthly standard and other journal entries, including accruals & prepayments
  • Control Fixed Assets, plant registers, depreciation and capital expenditures, including monthly reporting
  • Manage system to ensure intercompany balances are reconciled each month and settled promptly
  • Ensure business meets its obligations relating to VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales reporting
  • Ensure business meets its obligations relating to corporate and payroll taxes. Point of contact with HMRC
  • Involvement in Payroll function vis a vis timely and accurate payment of wages & salaries
  • Ensure processing of payroll journals, reconciliation of all relevant control accounts and settlement of external payroll liabilities
  • Ensure completion and submission of P11D, PSA, Class 1ANIC and other benefit information
  • Help to lead annual Audit process. Point of contact to auditors. Preparation of annual audit files. Input to preparation of annual Statutory Accounts
  • Preparation of monthly Central cost centre reports and accounts
  • Direct involvement in banking relationships, including daily payment processing
  • Various ad-hoc reports and returns to Office for National Statistics
  • Master the IT system, chart of accounts development, etc
  • Staff mentoring, training and development
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting, as required
  • Deputise for Financial Director as appropriate

This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to thrive, working within a successful and vibrant team. This role is temporary and is to provide cover in respect of Maternity Leave. Anticipated duration until 31/12/2018.

This is a traditional Purchase Ledger role, requiring previous in depth experience and an understanding of key components and deliverables of the process.

Based at Head Office and as part of a small team providing the Purchase Ledger function to the Group, ensuring that vendor invoices are processed in a controlled and efficient manner, queries are resolved quickly and relevant payments are made on time.

Responsibilities
  • Open internal and external mail & post, distributing and allocating as appropriate.
  • Matching of vendor invoices to delivery notes.
  • Ensuring appropriate authorisations are in place in respect of all vendor invoices.
  • Assist with resolving invoice queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Processing of vendor invoices to Accounts Payable ledger. Invoice volumes are high.
  • Check and reconcile Supplier Statements on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare vendor payment run proposals weekly and monthly, for review by Financial Accountant.
  • Assist with processing of vendor payment runs by BACS or similar methods.
  • Process ad-hoc vendor payment requirements outside of regular batch runs.
  • Deal with vendor telephone calls, contacts and queries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Assist with Intergroup recharge and payment processes.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis pertaining to spend, as directed.
  • Provide a general accounts resource – scanning, filing, etc.
  • Provide cover to other areas within the Finance team.
  • Petty Cash administration and recording.
  • Other duties, as directed.

  • To increase estimating capacity and follow up on sales leads
  • Working from Customer drawings to produce detailed quotations
  • Producing accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates generated from detailed client manufacturing drawings
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing delivery lead times and the arrangement of sub contract support
  • Create full routing information including labour and material costing
  • Liaise with sub-contract suppliers as required
  • Input all information in to the computer system in order to produce full quotations to the sales department

  • Face to face sales- the role is 80% office based, and 20% field based so MUST be able to sell in person

Due to the type of work, frequent and efficient setups are required. There is also a need to be involved in the inspection process for 1st off checks and in process checks. With a high attention to detail, this role will require an engineer from an environment of high tolerance, low batch work.

    • Welding and Fabrication inspection activities, including:
    • Provide Independent Welding and Fabrication support and advice
    • Review of Fabrication Inspection and Test Plans and final fabrication pack
    • Visual inspections of weld set up/weld quality, completion of dimensional inspections as required
    • Review and endorse NDT reports in a timely manner
    • Prescribe and monitor weld repairs to code
    • Verify the application of NDT methods for inspection activities

    • CSWIP 3.1. Welding Inspector Level 2 or equivalent is essential
