BRINGING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER

Together with the help of Darwen Vale students, the apprentices created a peace pole for the school's garden which bears the inscription 'May peace prevail on earth' in different world languages. The apprentices also fabricated the surrounding benches to compliment the environment.

'It's a focus for our thoughts on world conflicts and the distress and sorrow suffered by many. It also symbolises the great strides that have been made towards peace from an international to a personal level for each individual', said headteacher Lynn Dunning.
