MTL Advanced Ltd: Contract Manufacturing Specialists
MTL Advanced, formerly known as MTL Group, is our Yorkshire based steel engineering and manufacturing company operating from a 300,000 sq. ft. factory in Rotherham. With an extensive range of state-of-the-art technology and equipment available, MTL Advanced provide services to a range of large OEM's from leading industries including defence and security, construction and quarrying, offshore and renewable energy, recycling and rail.
CapabilitiesWith 23 laser cutting machines available, MTL's Messer is the largest laser machine in the UK. Capable of cutting both chamfers and weld preps of up to +/-50 degrees, it improves efficiency and productivity whilst reducing costs and lead times for our customers. This machine can cut parts up to 20m long x 3.2m wide x 20mm thick.
In addition, our Rotherham based manufacturing facility houses a robotic tube cutting machine with capability of 1000mm diameter x 40mm wall thickness.
MTL's profile cutting machine is capable of profiling carbon steels to a large scale - 10m x 4m and a thickness of 120mm. The machine is effective when used on tough metals including Hardox and Weldox. We also have an impressive array of CNC machining centres allowing us to add further value to our customer requirements.
Our fabrication and assembly service and our fabrication facilities offer welding to ISO EN 3834-2 status. MTL hold a range of offshore approvals such as DIN 18800-7, EMMUA 158, and NORSOK M101.
Thanks to investments in the latest welding equipment, we currently have ten robotic welding cells and various automated welding systems. We have invested heavily in modular Demmler jigging tables thus allowing us to create complex jigs at minimal costs in short lead times.
MTL specialise in contract manufacturing and is one of the few profiling companies in the UK to offer four different cutting methods under one roof; laser and waterjet cutting, flame cutting and high-definition plasma cutting.
