WEC Group Ltd held their eighth annual Apprentice of the Year awards on Thursday 29th November at the Red Rose Suite in Ewood Park, Blackburn. With numerous esteemed guests, the event celebrated the apprentices’ success over the past year.
Our Rotherham based contract manufacturing specialists, MTL Advanced, have recently commissioned a new 4 x 2m fibre laser cutting machine with fully automated loading.
WEC Group’s architectural division m-tec are currently involved in a key project for Birmingham New Street Station, working in collaboration with artist Anu Patel and Network Rail, to create a stunning and lasting tribute to those who were injured or lost their lives following the Birmingham pub bombings in November, 1974.
WEC Group is delighted to have won The Royal Navy Award for Large Employer of the Year at the North West Regional National Apprenticeship Awards 2018. Beating many other OEMs on the day to win the award, WEC Group will now go on to represent the North West region and attend the National Finals later this year.
WEC Group held a Staff Family Fun Day at AFC Darwen Anchor Ground on 1st September from 1pm until 5pm. All proceeds from the day went to our Charity of the Year, Oliver's Neuroblastoma Appeal.
