Sherburn Metalwork is our Yorkshire based fabrication division specialising in fabrication, sheet metalwork and robotic welding.
With an exhaustive range of state-of-the-art technology and equipment available on tap we are ideally placed to cater for a diverse customer base with a broad range of demands and requirements. Recent work includes projects for Automotive, Defence, Marine, Subsea, Nuclear, Aerospace, Architectural and Oil & Gas industries.
Our highly-skilled engineers and fabricators are conversant in all aspects of fabrication from light fineline sheet metalwork through to heavy engineering and large fabrications in various metals including mild steel, 304/316/2205 stainless steel, boiler plate, corten, monel, titanium, invar and even platinum.
In addition, our welders are fully trained in MIG, TIG, MMA and Sub-Merged Arc Coded Welding in all disciplines.
Robotic Welding
Thanks to investments in industry leading technology, we have state-of-the-art robotic welding facilities on-site.
With a capability of 2.5m x 1m in 3D, combined with in-house design support using 3D CAD Design software, complete harmonic movement can be made with the jigs to manipulate weld seams to optimum angle. With a maximum assembly weight of 500Kg, our Robot Welder can offer standard and pulse welding capabilities in mild Steel and stainless steel, with up to 1m per minute fillet speed.
We offer robotic welding as a 24 hour service so can provide quick turn-around, and also offer an in house jig design and build service.
Profiling, CNC Machining & Finishing
We continuously invest in the latest laser and waterjet cutting facilities to ensure we consistently outperform our competition. We offer laser cutting services for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals and can waterjet cut any material up to 200mm thick.
We also offer sheet metalwork services such as CNC bending and folding as well as CNC machining & large Machining services. We also offer in-house finishing services including Vaqua Blasting, Polishing and Paint Spraying to name but a few.
We work to ISO 9001:2015 standards with PPAP quality control and conform to the requirements of BS/EN 1090 CE Marking up to and including Execution Class 4.
Laser Cutting
At Sherburn, we have invested in the very latest fibre laser cutting machines to provide exceptional accuracy and fast lead times. Our laser cutting capacity covers plate and sheet up to 4m x 2m, with the ability to cut mild steel and aluminium up to 40mm thick, stainless steel up to 40mm, and copper and brass up to 20mm.
We stock and process a wide range of material grades including S275, S355, 304 and 316 stainless steels, Hardox, Strenx, aluminium grades, and more. Specialist materials such as Hastelloy, Titanium, Corten, Cromweld, and patterned or polished stainless steels can also be cut with precision. Whatever the requirement, Sherburn delivers unrivalled cutting quality across a comprehensive range of metals.
