Throughout April, ten of our apprentices have been undertaking an intensive training programme in preparation for Worldskills, one of the most prestigious platforms for skills development and competition.
We are delighted to announce a £100,000 investment in our shotblasting services, marked by the installation of a new dedicated shotblasting room at our facility. This latest development reflects our ongoing commitment to quality and efficiency within our operations.
The sculpture, named Doublet, was designed and manufactured entirely in-house. From initial laser cutting through to welding and polishing, every stage was completed by a team of apprentices. Over three weeks, the team of four who worked on the horse each contributed 96 hours to the project.
MTL Advanced has further strengthened its position as one of the UK’s leading large-format laser cutting specialists with the installation of the country’s first TRUMPF TruLaser 3060 6m x 2.5m 24kW laser, the largest 24kW TRUMPF laser currently operating in the UK.
