Ruskin Museum announces engineering partnership with WEC Group’s Engineering Academy for the Bluebird K7 Hydroplane
WEC Group are proud to announce their partnership with The Ruskin Museum for the Bluebird K7 Hydroplane. WEC Group is the Ruskin Museums chosen engineering partner to deal with the ongoing maintenance of their hydroplane Bluebird K7, which was owned by Land and Water Speed Record breaker, Donald Campbell CBE.
WEC Group will be closed over the Christmas period, from 5pm on Friday 23rd December and will reopen at 8am on Tuesday 3rd January 2023.
Lancashire based WEC Group have once again been recognised for their outstanding contribution to apprenticeships at the national Apprenticeship Awards in London on Wednesday 30th November. The Fabrication and Welding specialist Company received the Highly Commended Award in the British Army Large Employer of the year 2022 category after winning the award at the North West regional finals in October, beating many larger organisations from the region.
Welding and fabrication specialists WEC Group hosted their 12th annual Apprentice of the Year awards ceremony at WEC Engineering Academy in Blackburn, on Thursday 24th November. The event was held at the Group’s newly built training facility on Walker Park, with apprentices, relatives, colleagues and esteemed guests attending the awards ceremony including The Mayor and Mayoress of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Councillor Suleman Khonat and Mayoress Mrs Reyhana Khonat.
It was a very successful evening for WEC Group at the annual Hive Business Awards on Friday 4th November, as the Group added two more awards to their growing collection.
