At WEC Group, we provide in-house and subcontract shot blasting services for customers in and around Lancashire and Yorkshire, UK.
With multiple state-of-the-art shot blasting facilities available across the Group, we have the capability to blast components up to 15m long x 6m wide x 4m high, which is ideal for large scale components.
Complementing our powder coating and wet painting services, we are able to offer customers a one-stop-shop manufacturing solution, keeping extra costs and lead times at an absolute minimum.
2026 Investment
We are delighted to have invested £100,000 on a brand new shotblasting room in our Darwen facility. The newly installed shotblasting room is designed to accommodate components up to 2m x 1m, enabling the efficient processing of a wide range of parts. A key feature of the system is its self-sweeping floor which improves productivity and maintains a clean and controlled working environment. With this investment, we have significantly increased our shotblasting capacity, allowing for faster turnaround times and improved lead times for our customers.Shot Blasting Benefits
Shot blasting is mainly used to prime and clean surfaces, removing rust, scale or old coatings to expose clean bare metal ready for subsequent treatment.It is also an effective surface preparation method which promotes the adhesion of the specialist in-house powder coating and wet painting services we offer.
