WEC Group Annual Apprentice of the Year Awards 2009


Sam Allardyce, Blackburn Rovers Manager, was guest presenter at WEC Group's Annual Apprentice of the Year Awards, held at Rosins Country Hotel on Thursday 27th August

Prestigious guests included the Deputy Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, council representatives, proud family members, education and industry representatives who were all in attendance to support the apprentices. Guest speaker for the evening was Chris Eady, Associate Director of the Welding Institute.

We're extremely proud of all our students. The event was hosted to celebrate the success of our Training Academy apprentices who have spent the past year developing their welding and engineering skills. Steve Hartley - Managing Director

As part of the prize, the first, second and third place holders were treated to a trip in a helicopter which was enjoyed by all! The Apprentice of the Year also received a £250 cheque.
