On Sat 10th November 2012 at the Remembrance Day memorial ceremony, the Darwen Spitfire memorial sculpture was officially unveiled by Darwen MP Jake Berry; also in attendance were members of the Royal British Legion and the apprentices of WEC Group who manufactured it.
Friday 16th November saw WEC Group take home its fourth consecutive Lancashire Telegraph Business Award, claiming 'Manufacturer of the Year'. This year WEC Group was nominated for the Manufacturer of the Year and Social and Community Development awards, and has for the fourth year running come away with one of the county's most prestigious awards.
EC Group held their First Annual Corporate Golf Tournament on Friday 31st August 2012 at Accrington Golf Club. 88 players including Customers, Suppliers and Staff took part in the tournament which turned out to be a massive success!
