Metal fabrication firm WEC Group has unveiled a lucrative sponsorship deal with AFC Darwen. WEC will be the club's main sponsor and as such, the company's logo will be printed on the club's home and away kits. In addition, the name of the ground has been changed to the WEC Group Anchor Ground.

WEC Group held their Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday 5th July at Accrington Golf Club. Our Charity Golf day was opened to all Customers, Suppliers, Staff and Commercial Associates of the WEC Group and 72 players took part on that very sunny day.
WEC Group Director Marlene Hallewell today handed a cheque for £2,000.00 to the East Lancashire hospice. The donation will enable the hospice to continue providing patients with high-quality care and extras which will benefit them in many ways.
