WEC Group's Tenth Annual Charity Golf Day 2023
WEC Group held its tenth Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday 30th June at Accrington Golf Club. The day was open to customers, suppliers, staff and commercial associates of WEC Group. Whilst the weather wasn't kind, it didn't deter the golf and there was some hard-fought competition amongst the 80 players on the course.
Together we raised an amazing £9,365 from registration fees, sponsorship, auctions, raffles, bingo and generous donations on the evening. The charity we are supporting this year is Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone. The Youth Zone offers 30 hours of open provision to over 250 young people aged between 5-25 per week . The service, which needs a minimum of £250,000 per year just to keep its doors open, aims to ensure local young people have fun, learn, develop and reach their potential, regardless of their background
