2025 at WEC Group

WEC Group celebrates a standout year of growth in 2025

What a year it has been for WEC Group. This we have experienced an exceptional period of growth, achievement and investment, reflecting the dedication of our people and the strength of our engineering capabilities across all divisions.

One of the most significant milestones this year was exceeding 1,000 members of staff across the group. This achievement highlights not only our continued expansion but also our commitment to creating long-term careers within UK manufacturing and engineering. Alongside this growth in people, we processed more than 72,000 tonnes of metal and materials, supporting customers across a wide range of sectors and delivering complex projects at scale.

The year also saw WEC Group secure several major contracts, strengthening our position as one of the UK’s leading engineering specialists. These successes contributed to a group turnover of £150 million, underpinned by ongoing major investments in machinery, facilities, technology and training to ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry.

Developing future talent has remained a core focus. Through our Engineering Academy, over 300 school children were introduced to engineering, helping to inspire the next generation and showcase the wide range of opportunities available within the sector. In addition, 50 new apprentices were recruited across the group, reinforcing our commitment to skills development and succession planning.

This year’s achievements reflect the hard work, expertise and passion of our teams across WEC Group. From operational excellence to community engagement and strategic growth, it has truly been a standout year, with even more to look forward to as we continue building for the future.
