Luke is one of many employees who has grown his career with WEC Group. After joining during summer breaks while studying, he returned full-time in 2017 and has now spent nine years with the business, progressing to Senior Sales Engineer in our Laser Division. His journey from Press Brake Operator to the Laser sales team has given him a strong understanding of the manufacturing process, helping him build lasting customer relationships and manage projects from quotation through to delivery.
Brandon celebrated 10 years with WEC Group this month after beginning his career as a Laser Operator Apprentice. Since then, he has progressed through the business, becoming a Trainee Sales Estimator before moving into his current role as Sales Engineer. His experience across both production and sales has given him a valuable understanding of every stage of the manufacturing process.
Another success story is Dylan from our IT department, who joined WEC Group in 2018 as an IT Apprentice. Eight years later, he is now an IT Support Engineer, providing technical support across the business while continuing to expand his skills. Dylan enjoys the variety of the role, the opportunity to keep learning and the annual profit share bonus that recognises employees' hard work.
Shop Floor Manager Andy recently celebrated an incredible 20 years with WEC Group after joining on the very first day the WEC Engineering Academy opened. Starting as an apprentice, Andy has worked on major automotive, aerospace and bridge fabrication projects before progressing into management. He says the variety of work, opportunities to learn, overtime and bonuses have all contributed to a rewarding career.
