We are thrilled that our Training Academy has been shortlisted for "Skills Provider of the Year" and our new waterjet division, WECJet, has made the cut in the "New Business" and "Engineering Business" of the Year categories!
The next stage of the competition is a five minute presentation followed by 10 minutes of questions from the judges. The prestigious awards event takes place at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on March 12th where the winners will be announced.
We are the proud sponsors of the Red Rose Awards trophies, and our talented apprentices make them all using their new-found welding and fabrication skills. They are working hard to get the trophies finished before the event next month.
The Red Rose Awards is the event where Lancashire business, commerce and industry are celebrated. It provides the best possible platforms to promote success, and to encourage inter-trading in the county.
Our Group Commercial Director, Wayne Wild, said: "We're extremely proud of how far WEC has come in the past few years, and winning a Red Rose award this year would be a testament to all of the hard work and dedication that has been put into the company from the staff.
"We're delighted to have been shortlisted in not only one, but three different categories and we're looking forward to the event in March."
WEC Group won Large Business and Engineering Business of the Year Awards in 2012.
Congratulations to all the other finalists and we look forward to meeting you at the awards ceremony next month.
